PHOTOVOLTAIK - CONTINUOUS REALIGNMENT
Solar power has a wide variety of uses. Photovoltaic systems convert sunlight directly into electrical power. The individual collectors can only obtain optimum efficiency, when they follow the position of the sun. Electromotively driven single or dual axis solar tracking systems provide this orientation.
Between the gear motor and control rod is an impact-resistant EKL series elastomer coupling. The elastomer insert serves not only as a compensating element for assembly-related shaft misalignments, but it also provides a vibration-damping effect for smooth and precise orientation. Conventional solar tracking systems adjust the collectors several times an hour to a fixed, specified angle.
In high efficiency solar power systems, this results in a permanent alignment with the position of the sun. Sensors measure and control the drive. These drive applications are supported considerably by the zero backlash of the EK series.
