AUTOMATIC DOOR SYSTEMS - AUTOMATIC DOOR SYSTEMS
Leading manufacturers of automatic door systems for trains and buses are currently converting their products from pneumatic to mechanical systems. The disadvantages of pneumatic systems include the high degree of maintenance required and the susceptibility to failure due to overloading or vandalism.
In addition, misalignments cannot be corrected through the pneumatic connection of the components. This in turn places increased demand on production.
The solution is to connect the drive motor directly with the train or bus door via a flexible elastomer coupling from R+W. Due to the elasticity of the elastomer insert, impacts and vibrations are dampened, thus protecting the entire system.
